Fill-in-the-Blanks Form to Record
Calls, Letters, Messages from Debt Collectors
Keep a written record of contacts
such as telephone calls, letters, and messages from a debt collector.
This record helps to prove how much and what type of harassment
or illegal conduct you put up with from the debt collector. A good
record of contacts can help settle your case against an abusive
debt collector quickly, giving you money in compensation (paid
by the debt collector) right away.
We recommend that you keep a Record of Contacts form (with some extra paper
for notes if you need to make them) beside your telephone. If you
have more than one telephone, keep a form at each one. You
don't need to put everything on one form; just save all forms
you use. We have prepared a free, simple Record
of Contacts form so
you can keep track of the information:
